Why is the Northern Saugeen Bruce Peninsula the latest E-bike Destination?
The Saugeen Bruce Peninsula is known for its two National Parks, clear blue waters, and kilometers of spectacular cliffs and rocky shorelines. Tobermory is a busy little village with shops and lots of fresh fish and chips stops. You will no doubt want to take a boat tour to Flowerpot Island and a hike to the Grotto. But there are so many places to explore at a slower pace while leaving the car and the crowds behind.
Did you know that the Peninsula has a high number of rare plant species and protected ecological areas that are easy to miss? While land conservancies here are monitoring these zones, they gladly educate visitors, and welcome them to enjoy these quiet places. These hidden shoreline gems are not advertised, its best if you find them yourself!
Saugeen Bruce Peninsula is ready to offer some different experiences for visitors. Renting an E-bike means enjoying the ride just as much as what destination awaits you at the end of the road. We are not a cycling haven, but you can be the judge of that. New paved double bike lanes on our major transportation route lets you bike safely to the many access roads into the Peninsula. The Bruce National Park also has a multi-use trail, taking you to the famous Head of Trails. You can reach many different locations, from secluded hiking destinations, to the area’s hotspots. If you want to challenge yourself on a longer cycle circuit, the Northern Saugeen Peninsula has some of those too.
